A few weeks ago (yes we’re pretty late in our blogs – something we’re planning on working on soon!) we spent a Friday night and a Saturday at the beautiful Abbotsford Convent buildings for the One Fine Day Wedding Fair. This was our first time working on something like this, and boy was it fun/stressful/exciting/nerve wracking/tear inducing/late night inducing/exhilarating! Big huge massive props go to our amiga Cathy, AKA Caffy, who helped us out at the event…
We were pretty darn lucky with all the help we got setting up our little stall. We designed our stall ourselves, and had it built by the amazing bro’s / cuzzys at Parker Built. We had some seriously floral ideas for the back wall, but Karina from Together XO helped us out with the idea of the more subdued Ombre wall – painstakingly painted by Sarah and Mike one rainy sunday!
We were a little bit excited by our flowers by Tori Allen – everything she does is seriously mind blowing. We became slightly obsessed with our little pineapples scattered through the flowers! Then of course, we are so thankful to our lovely neighbours Peirre and Lucie of Pierre Curry seriously sensational photography who hooked us up with a gorgeous trestle table (that we wondered if we could sneak back to the studio with us!)
Our neighbours on the other side – Heartwood Hire – were equally as awesome, providing us with the super cute festoon lighting to go over the stall. We left with one of their little olive oils from the farm, and can’t wait to crack into it – what a lovely idea for little wedding favours / bonbonerrie…
I have to say though, I think one of the highlights of our store were the little “enjoy” Lindt Choccies we got to give out to everyone, so we’ve got to thank Sweet As for hooking us up with that sweet, sweet love! We’re working with them at the moment on chocolate and lolly bonbonerrie, so if you have an idea that can combine sweet treats with our design to blow your guests mind, make sure you get in touch!
And also enjoyed a very pleasurable afternoon at the waterfront in Geelong and then a few brews at the new Little Creatures brewery – complete with indoor sandpit – we were all happy campers!
